Welcome to the website of the Leiden team of 2018 to the Vis Arbitral Moot!
For the ninth time, a team from Leiden University participated in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Competition in Vienna, Austria. The Moot is considered one of the most prestigious moot court competitions in the world. Selection as a team member is in itself recognition of excellence.
The goal of the Vis Arbitral Moot is to foster the study of international commercial law and arbitration for the resolution of international business disputes through its application to a specific client problem, and to train tomorrow’s law leaders in alternative methods of dispute resolution.
The 25th Vis Moot is officially over now, and team is very proud of the results it achieved this year: 1st place at the Plesner Pre-Moot and an honourable mention for Memorandum for Respondent in the Vis Moot Competition 2018. Leiden’s Memorandum for Respondent ended up in the top 9% of all 362 participating teams.
